What does it cost

 *WHAT DOES IT COST?*

_And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing..._ 2 Samuel 24:24a

Today's sacrifice will be a future reference point.

2. No Free Offerings: David refused to offer sacrifices to God without cost, recognizing the value of sacrifice.

5. Sacrificial Giving: David's actions demonstrated sacrificial giving, putting God's desires above his own.

6. Heartfelt Worship: David's worship was heartfelt, not just going through the motions.

7. Valuing God's Presence: David valued God's presence and blessing, seeking to honor Him.

8. Leadership by Example: David led by example, showing his people the importance of sacrificial worship.

9. Prioritizing God: David prioritized God's desires above his own, demonstrating his faith.

10. Authentic Faith: David's actions demonstrated authentic faith, not just superficial religiosity.

11. Investing in the Future: David invested in the future of his people, building a legacy of faith.

12. Pleasing God: David sought to please God, not just men, in his worship and offerings.

Let us follow the good example of David by offering our best unto the LORD.
