விழுப்புரம்

 விழுப்புரம் மாவட்டத்தின் வரலாறு, முன்னர் ஒருங்கிணைந்த தென்னாற்காடு மாவட்டத்தின் ஒருபகுதியாக இருந்ததில் தொடங்கி, 1993 ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 30 அன்று தனி மாவட்டமாக உருவானதுடன் தொடங்குகிறது. இங்குள்ள செஞ்சிக் கோட்டை போன்ற வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க இடங்கள் சோழர்கள் காலத்திலிருந்தே இந்த பகுதியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை காட்டுகின்றன. 

ஆரம்பகால வரலாறு: விழுப்புரம் பகுதியின் வரலாறு சோழர்கள் காலத்திலிருந்து தொடங்குகிறது. 

தமிழ்நாட்டின் மிகப்பெரிய மாவட்டம் 

மாவட்ட உருவாக்கம்: விழுப்புரம், 1993 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தென்னாற்காடு மாவட்டத்திலிருந்து பிரிக்கப்பட்டது

இது 1993 மாவட்டமாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டாலும் 100 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே அதாவது 1919 அநேக தொழில் பட்டறைகள் பள்ளிக்கூடங்கள் நிறைந்த மாவட்டமாக குறிப்பாக விவசாயத்தில் முதன்மையான ஒரு மாவட்டமாக இருந்தது 

அநேக கோயில்கள் மசூதிகள் வீரமாமுனிவர் கட்டிய வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க தேவ ஆலயங்கள் என பல இடங்கள் இதன் சிறப்பை கூறுகிறது

வந்தவரை விழாது காக்கும்‌ 

 விழுப்புரத்தினால் நன்மை பெற்றவன் என் முத்தரையர் அநேகர் நன்மை பெற்றார்கள் 

எனவே இன்று விழுப்புரத்தில் நினைவுகூறுவோம்

உடல் காத்தேன் உயிர் காத்தேன்

 மனம் கெட்டால் உடல் கெடும்,

 உடல் கெட்டால் மனம் கெடும்.

👍 அதனால் மனதுக்கும், உடலுக்குமான, முறையான மன அமைதிக்கான தியானமும், உடல் நலனுக்கான உடற்பயிற்சியும் தொடர்ந்து செய்து வந்தாலே தன்னை நோயிலிருந்து தற்காத்துக் கொள்ள முடியும்.

👍 சிந்திப்பவர்கள் மட்டுமே அனைத்து நோய்களில் இருந்தும் விடுபடுவர்..

ஒருவர் தவறான உணவை உட்கொண்டார் என்று 

எமது உடலுக்கு எது தேவையோ அதை நீங்கள் தெளிவாகப் புரியும் பாஷையில் மூளை சொல்லும்.

👍 உடலுக்குத் தண்ணீர் தேவை என்றால் அது தாகம் என்ற பாஷையில் உங்களோடு பேசும்.

வாய்மொழியைக் கூட நாம் கவனிக்காது விட்டு விடுவோம் என்பதாலோ என்னவோ எந்நேரமும் கவனிக்க ஏதுவான உணர்ச்சி மொழியால் மூளை பேசுகிறது.

 

👍 உடலுக்கு சக்தி தேவைப்பட்டால் பசி எனும் உணர்ச்சி மொழியால் மூளை பேசும்.

👍 குளிர் வந்தால் போர்த்தச் சொல்லும்.

வெப்பம் வந்தால் குளிக்கச் சொல்லும்.

👍 இப்படி உடலுக்குத் தேவையபானவற்றை உணர்வை மொழியாக்கி மூளை சொல்லும்போது அதற்கெல்லாம் வைத்தியரை நாடி நாம் போவதில்லை.

👍 பசிக்கிறது மருந்து தாருங்கள் என்று வைத்தியசாலை போவோமா? அல்லது சிற்றுண்டிச் சாலை போவோமா?

இதை நோய் என்று அறிமுகப் படுத்தியது யார்?

👍 வயிற்றோட்ட உணர்வை மூளை ஏற்படுத்தியது நஞ்சைக் கழிக்கவே.

இதையும் நோய் என்று அறிமுகப் படுத்தியது யார்?

👍 மூக்கு ஒழுகுதல்,

சளி பிடித்தல்,

இருமல்,

காய்ச்சல்,

இவைகளை நோய்கள் என்று நினைப்பது அறியாமை!

👍 இதற்கு மருத்துவம் செய்து இரசாயன வில்லைகளை விழுங்குவது அறியாமையின் உச்சம்!

👍 இவைகள் நம் உடல் முழு ஆரோக்கிய நிலையில் உள்ளதை காட்டுகிறது!

👍 இவைகள் நம் உடல் கழிவுகளை வெளியேற்றும் அற்புத இறை செயல்!

டாக்டர் ஐடாவின் கிராமப்புறப் பயணம்

டாக்டர் ஐடா ஸ்கடர், மருத்துவப் பட்டத்துடன் இந்தியா திரும்பியபோது, அவரது நோக்கம் தெளிவாக இருந்தது: மருத்துவமனைக் கதவுகளைத் தாண்டி, உதவி தேவைப்படும் கிராமப்புற மக்களைத் தேடிச் செல்ல வேண்டும். ஆனால், அவரது இந்த உன்னத முயற்சிக்கு தொழில்நுட்பமும், அறியாமையும் உருவாக்கிய ஒரு விசித்திரமான தடை காத்திருந்தது.

"பிசாசு வருகிறது!": மோட்டார் காரைக் கண்டு மிரண்ட கிராமங்கள்

20ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில், தென்னிந்தியாவின் கிராமப்புறச் சாலைகளில் குதிரை வண்டிகளும், மாட்டு வண்டிகளுமே பிரதான வாகனங்களாக இருந்தன. அந்தச் சூழலில், டாக்டர் ஐடா தனது மருத்துவப் பயணங்களுக்காக ஒரு "பியூஜியோ" (Peugeot) மோட்டார் காரை வாங்கினார். அது அக்காலத்தில் ஒரு பெரும் தொழில்நுட்ப அதிசயமாகக் கருதப்பட்டது. ஆனால், அந்த அதிசயம், கிராம மக்களுக்குப் பெரும் அச்சத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

ஐடா தனது காரில் மருத்துவ உபகரணங்களுடன் ஒரு கிராமத்தை நோக்கிச் செல்லும்போது, ஒரு விசித்திரமான காட்சி அரங்கேறும். காரின் எஞ்சின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டதும், சாலையில் விளையாடிக்கொண்டிருந்த குழந்தைகள் அலறியடித்து ஓடுவார்கள். வயலில் வேலை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள், தங்கள் கருவிகளைப் போட்டுவிட்டு ஓட்டம் பிடிப்பார்கள். வீடுகளில் இருந்தவர்கள் கதவுகளை இறுகச் சாத்திக்கொள்வார்கள். கிராமமே ஒருவித பீதியில் மூழ்கிவிடும்.

அவர்களின் அச்சத்திற்குக் காரணம், அந்த "மிருகங்கள் இல்லாத வண்டி". குதிரையோ, மாடோ இல்லாமல் ஒரு வண்டி தானாகவே எப்படி ஓட முடியும்? அது நிச்சயம் ஏதோ ஒரு கெட்ட சக்தியாகவோ அல்லது "பிசாசாகவோ"தான் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று அவர்கள் நம்பினார்கள். "பிசாசு வருகிறது! பிசாசு வருகிறது!" என்ற கூக்குரல்கள் கிராமம் முழுவதும் எதிரொலிக்கும்.

அச்சத்தை அன்பால் வென்ற ஐடா

இந்த எதிர்பாராத கலாச்சார எதிர்ப்பைக் கண்டு ஐடா திகைத்துப் போனாலும், அவர் மனம் தளரவில்லை. மக்களின் அறியாமையையும், பயத்தையும் அன்பாலும், பொறுமையாலும் வெல்ல முடியும் என்று அவர் நம்பினார்.

ஒவ்வொரு கிராமத்திற்குச் செல்லும்போதும், மக்கள் பயந்து ஓடுவதைக் கண்டால், அவர் உடனடியாகக் காரை நிறுத்திவிடுவார். காரிலிருந்து இறங்கி, அவர்களை நோக்கிப் புன்னகையுடன் நடந்து செல்வார். தனது உதவியாளர்களின் துணையுடன், "பயப்படாதீர்கள்! நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு உதவவே வந்திருக்கிறோம். நாங்கள் எந்தத் தீங்கும் செய்ய மாட்டோம்," என்று அவர்களின் மொழியில் பேசுவார்.

முதலில், மக்கள் அவரை சந்தேகத்துடனேயே பார்த்தனர். ஆனால், அவரது கனிவான பேச்சும், உண்மையான அக்கறையும் மெல்ல மெல்ல அவர்களின் மனதை மாற்றியது. அவர் அவர்களுக்குச் சிகிச்சை அளித்து, நோய்களிலிருந்து குணப்படுத்தியபோது, அந்த "பிசாசின் வண்டி" உண்மையில் ஒரு "தேவதையின் வாகனம்" என்பதை அவர்கள் உணரத் தொடங்கினார்கள். காலப்போக்கில், காரின் சத்தம் கேட்டால், மக்கள் பயந்து ஓடுவதற்குப் பதிலாக, நம்பிக்கையுடன் அவரை நோக்கி வரத் தொடங்கினார்கள். அந்த மோட்டார் கார், அச்சத்தின் சின்னமாக இருந்து, ஆரோக்கியத்தின் அடையாளமாக மாறியது.

"ரோட்சைட்ஸ்": சாலையோரங்களில் மலர்ந்த மருத்துவ சேவை

தொலைதூர கிராமங்களில் உள்ள மக்கள், மருத்துவமனைக்கு வரத் தயங்குவதையும், அதற்கான வசதிகள் இல்லாததையும் ஐடா உணர்ந்தார். நோயாளிகள் மருத்துவமனையைத் தேடி வருவதற்குக் காத்திருக்காமல், மருத்துவமே அவர்களைத் தேடிச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்ற புதுமையான சிந்தனையின் விளைவாகப் பிறந்ததுதான் "சாலையோரங்கள் " (Roadsides) நடமாடும் மருத்துவமனைத் திட்டம்.

• ஒரு நடமாடும் மருத்துவமனை: ஐடாவின் மோட்டார் கார், ஒரு சிறிய நடமாடும் மருத்துவமனையாக மாறியது. அதில் அத்தியாவசிய மருந்துகள், மருத்துவ உபகரணங்கள், மற்றும் ஒரு சிறிய பரிசோதனை மேசை ஆகியவை இருந்தன.

• சாலையோர சிகிச்சை: ஒவ்வொரு கிராமத்திலும், ஒரு மரத்தடியிலோ அல்லது ஒரு பொது இடத்திலோ, அவரது நடமாடும் மருத்துவமனை செயல்படும். நோயாளிகள் வரிசையில் நின்று சிகிச்சை பெறுவார்கள்.

• சுகாதாரக் கல்வி: "ரோட்சைட்ஸ்" திட்டம், வெறும் சிகிச்சை அளிக்கும் மையமாக மட்டும் இருக்கவில்லை. அது ஒரு சுகாதாரக் கல்வி மையமாகவும் விளங்கியது. சுத்தமான குடிநீரின் அவசியம், கைகளைக் கழுவுவதன் முக்கியத்துவம், மற்றும் நோய்த்தடுப்பு முறைகள் குறித்து ஐடாவும் அவரது குழுவினரும் கிராம மக்களுக்கு எளிய மொழியில் விளக்கினார்கள்.

Reviewing our lives and _being willing to ring in_ positive transformations!

*(Based on 1 Tim 1:1-2, 12-14 and Lk 6:39-42 - _Friday of the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time, Year 1)_*

In a particular town, there lived a cobbler, who was unable to make a living by his trade.

>> Driven to despair by his poverty, he accommodated himself in another far-away town, and began to practise medicine.

He sold a drug which he claimed to be an antidote for all sorts of poisons.

>> Towards this end, he also created a great popularity campaign through advertisements and boastful proclamations.

Unfortunately, in a short period of time, the cobbler himself happened to fall sick to a serious illness.

>> The ruler of the town sought this as a nice chance to test his medicine's capability and the man's genuineness.

For this, the ruler called for a cup, and filling it with water, pretended to mix poison with the cobbler's antidote…

… commanding him to drink, with a promise of a handsome reward.

The sick cobbler, overcome with much fear and trembling, confessed that he had no knowledge of medicine!

The ruler then called the people of the town and addressed them:

"Oh how foolish are you!

>> You have not hesitated to entrust your heads to a man, whom no one could employ to even make shoes for their feet!"

Often times, perhaps, it so happens that we too…

… get fooled in life

… get led by people who are incapable

… get ourselves to be a slave to things which are unbecoming

We become blind…

… and perhaps, we also lead others to stumble!

Our Blessed Lord in today's Gospel invites us to deep examination of the quality of our lives and our credibility in being a leader.

>> Jesus says, "Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit?" (Lk 6:39)

This verse is a reference to two sets of people: one, the guide.. second, the one who is led.

We could find ourselves in either of these categories or sometimes even both.

>> We could be a guide or one who is guided or both - a guide as well as one who is guided.

In any of the cases, one needs to examine one's quality of life.

Am I shrouded in the darkness of being in ignorance and apathy…

… disinterested to learn and be willing to know more…?

… causing others to be misled and creating confusions and misunderstandings…?

Am I a person who is sunk into the dark abyss of being prejudiced and unforgiving….

… unwilling to be open to the truth and adamant in considering to even review or re-examine my own viewpoints…?

… blinded to accept differences and failing to cherish diversity and thus constantly being at loggerheads with others…?

Am I constantly veiled under the dark shades of being unjustly critical and judgemental…

… full of pride and being unable to let go of my own selfish interests and self-centred wants…?

… enamoured by a pleasure in looking for opportunities and means to put down others or find faults with others…?

Our Blessed Lord invites us to make an honest review of our lives…

… and to be constantly willing to ring in positive transformations.

Let us seek to put into the practise the beautiful saying:

"If you use the head with which you reprove others to reprove yourself, there will be fewer faults;

>> If you use the heart with which you forgive yourself to forgive others, there will be perfect friendship"

Today we celebrate the Holy Name of Mary...

... a feast that reminds us of Her closeness to our lives.

>> Her name - as Her life - speaks of humility, faith...

... and a life wholly open to God’s plan.

Let us always realise that "Her name never rivals Christ...

... it always leads us to Him!"

Let us call upon the name of Mary

... imitate her trust, her courage, and her willingness to be transformed! 

... and find strength to live anew in Christ! 

Whisper the name "Mary!"

>> Meet Christ!

washing the windows

Daring to imitate our Blessed Lord in _'washing the windows'_ to clear the view for a fresher practising of our faith!

Based on Col 1:15-20 and Lk 5:33-39 

John Wanamaker was an American merchant and a religious and civic leader.

>> He is considered by some, to be the proponent of advertising and a "pioneer in marketing".

Once, a neat and handsome young man, applied to John Wanamaker for a job.

>> This young fellow was told that there was no job for him.

But the young man persisted, "I am willing to take up any work!"

With a view to get rid of him, Mr Wanamaker said, "The only job I have is the job of washing windows"

>> "Yes, I am willing" said the enthusiastic young man!

He washed those windows as they never had been.

>> He also showed a great sense of responsibility.

Within a short period, he became the manager of the store.

When this man died, after a splendid service of nearly two decades, Mr Wanamaker said:

"I am willing to pay as high as one hundred thousand dollars for a manager, who can fill the place of the one I lost!"

The young man's willingness and his committed act of "washing the windows" brought about a change of mentality and won accolades galore!

Today, perhaps, the Church is in a great need for people who are willing to "wash the windows" for the sake of the Kingdom…

… windows which are sometimes dirtied with the dust of ritualism, legalism and relativism

… windows which are sometimes tainted with the stains of corruption, scandals and misconduct

… windows which are sometimes splattered with the blemishes of indifference, injustice and inactions

The Gospel of the day presents Jesus who courageously dares to "wash the windows"...

... in order to clear away the dust of legal fanaticism, religious rigidity and spiritual gloominess!

The passage in consideration (Lk 5: 33-39) begins with an interrogative complaint by the Pharisees and Scribes…

… on why His disciples 'ate and drank' whereas the disciples of John the Baptist as well as the Pharisees fasted often and offered prayers (Lk 5: 33)

The immediate context of this passage is the Call of Levi, the tax collector and the grand party hosted by him, in honour of Jesus (Lk 5: 27-32)

Jesus, later on, in His ministry would say, "There is more rejoicing over one sinner who repents and returns to God, than over ninety-nine righteous persons, who need no repentance" (Lk 15:7)

Levi, the tax-collector was called by Jesus to follow Him - an occasion of a "lost sheep" returning back to the arms of the Shepherd!

>> It was a moment of leaving the old self behind and embracing the newness of Christ!

>> It was a moment of immersing oneself in the new life in Christ and being 'drunk' with His love!

In this context, when the religious leaders questioned Jesus on why were His disciples into "eating and drinking" unlike the disciples of John the Baptist and Pharisees, who were into rigorous fasting and prayer…

… Jesus gives a fitting reply using three imageries:

The imagery of the wedding guests feasting, when the Bridegroom is with them (Lk 5: 34-35)

>> It pointed to the "moments of great joy and happiness, that is experienced" when one recognises Jesus as the bridegroom - the True Love of one's life and the Primary Purpose of one's existence (Gal 2: 20)!

The imagery of the patched garments (Lk 5: 36)

>> It pointed to the "moments of leaving the old self behind and embracing the newness of Christ", and putting on the New and Festal Garment of Christ (Gal 3: 27)

The imagery of the wine and wineskin (Lk 5: 37-39)

>> It pointed to the "moments of immersing oneself in the new life in Christ and being 'drunk' with His love," and cherishing the experience of discovering the Lord as the true and only source and foundation of happiness in life (1 Cor 3: 11).

In short, our Blessed Lord was pointing to a renewed perspective in one's relationship with God…

Doing away with "legal fanaticism" that cripples one's life with mere external following of rituals and rubrics

… and instead to discover the real meaning and purpose of one's actions of piety and religiosity!

Doing away with "religious rigidity" that steals away any spontaneity and openness in one's life of faith…

.. and instead to unearth the freedom that often lies buried, and to relate without any inhibitions with one's Loving Creator!

Doing away with "spiritual gloominess" that casts a dark and ugly veil on one's practices of spirituality…

… and instead to unwrap the gifts of happiness, trust and genuine bliss that is constantly bestowed by God!

Our practise of faith and spirituality certainly is in a constant need of a "cleaning up!"

>> Else, it can very easily happen, that..

… religion turns out to be a farce

… practices of piety fail to touch and inspire lives

… acts of charity turn out to be hypocritical gestures

Let us dare to imitate our Blessed Lord in "washing the windows"

... to clear the view for a cleaner, fresher and brighter practising of our faith!

Today the Greatest of all Teachers - Jesus - exhorts each one of us to adopt and adapt…

… a transformed way of Living

>> And allow Him to reign over every situation of our life!

On this Feast Day of Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata, let us seek her intercession…

... pray for all the teachers, especially those who have taught us

… and be inspired by her love and life - to bring the Powerful Presence of God in every situation of our society.

Blindly Following Others

Dsentangling ourselves from the habit of 'blindly' following others; instead, _following Christ_ with deeper conviction!

Based on 1 Tim 6:2c-12 and Lk 8:1-3-

There is a particular type of a caterpillar called as "Pine Processional Caterpillars".

>> These "Processional Caterpillars" walk in long lines - each one following closely the next in front.

A noted French naturalist named Jean Henri Fabre, once conducted an experiment on them.

He took a flowerpot and placed of a number of these "Processional Caterpillars" in a single-file around the circumference of the rim of a flower-pot.

>> Each caterpillar's head touched the one in front of it.

He then placed the caterpillar's favourite food in the middle of the pot.

He was surprised to observe that each of the caterpillar followed the one ahead, thinking it was heading for the food.

>> Round and round went these insects - for several days!

Finally, after many days of this absurd activity, the caterpillars started to drop dead - because of exhaustion and starvation!

All that they had to avoid the snare of death was to stop the senseless rounding around the pot...

.... and head, instead, directly to the food, that was placed less than six-inches away from them!

However, these "Processional Caterpillars" were trapped in a lifestyle which made them to only follow the one ahead..

... and were unable to "disentangle" themselves from the habit of 'blindly' following others!

Am I turning out to be a "Processional Christian?"

... claiming to follow Christ, just because others are doing the same or I have got into the "rut" of a system?

... aimlessly following Christ, without any conviction or sometimes even of an awareness of 'why I am doing so?'

The Gospel of the Day presents to us a beautiful set of "Followers of Christ" who pursued Him in faith, in conviction and with a sense of clear purpose.

The Gospel of St Luke gives an interesting list of people (there would also have been probably others), who followed Jesus closely and were part of His Kingdom Ministry (Lk 8: 1-3).

1. The Twelve Apostles

2. Mary Magdalene

3. Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward

4. Susanna and many others

Its edifying to learn some aspects from each of these sets of people...

1. The Twelve Apostles

>> They were people of opposing temperaments, differing characters, conflicting backgrounds and divergent personalities.

Yet, the "glue" of 'belonging to Christ' kept them together

Can I learn the aspect of..

... going beyond my personal differences and accidental characteristics, to forge together beautiful and faithful relationships, in my family, my workplaces, my communities etc, in order to follow Christ closer?

2. Mary Magdalene

>> She had personally experienced the power of Christ's healing.

This made her to keep her focus on the Lord, her God and to be intimately following Him for the rest of her life.

Can I learn the aspect of...

... recognising, cherishing and sustaining the many 'miraculous and wonderful' encounters of the Lord's healing and care, that I experience on a daily basis, and thus to passionately follow the Lord?

3. Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward

>> She was the wife of Chuza, who was the steward of King Herod Antipas.

To follow Jesus involved a high level of risk for her, as there was a danger from King Herod, who was wicked and had expressed his displeasure by the murder of John the Baptist.

Can I learn the aspect of...

.... being daring and courageous in following the Lord, even at the risk of my life, the risk of being exposed to humiliation and the risk of bearing discouragements, persecutions and indifference from others?

4. Susanna and many others

>> There is not much information on their identity but they were part of a section of the society i.e. women... who were terribly maltreated and were given an unfair, unequal and unrecognizable positions in the Jewish religious hierarchy.

Can I learn the aspect of...

... being ready to break the mental barriers and the paralysing thought-patterns in the society which cripple one's freedom, in order to become an authentic follower of the Lord?

These followers of Christ teach us vital lessons...

... of making radical transformations

... of valuing God's wonderful workings in life

... of being courageously bold

... of overcoming challenges and barriers

... in order to Follow Christ - with conviction, with commitment and with certainty!

We cannot simply remain as "Processional Christians" - being trapped in a lifestyle which makes us to "claim to follow Christ"...

... and being unable to "disentangle" ourselves from the habit of 'blindly' following others!.

We instead need to become...

>> "Practical Christians" - who put into practice the preachings of Christ!

>> "Praiseworthy Christians" - who live our lives seeking to please the Lord in every act and deed!

>> "Precious Christians" - who live with a deep conviction of belonging to the Lord and making efforts to share His love to all!

கல்லீரல் பாதுகாப்பு

 தயவு செய்து அலட்சியம் வேண்டாம்!!!

நகைச்சுவை நடிகர் ரோபோ சங்கர் உடல்நலக் குறைவால் பெருங்குடி தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் சுமார் 8:30 மணியளவில் உயிரிழந்தார்.

அவரது மறைவு திரைத்துறையினர் மட்டுமின்றி, பல்வேறு தரப்பினரையும் சோகத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியிருக்கிறது. அவரது உயிரிழப்பு விஷயம் மக்களுக்கு முக்கியமான செய்தியை சொல்லிவிட்டு சென்றிருக்கிறது.

ரோபோ சங்கர் உயிரிழந்ததற்கு முக்கிய காரணம் கல்லீரல் பிரச்சனைதான். இந்த கல்லீரல் பிரச்சனைகள் 4 வகையாக பிரிக்கப்படுகின்றன. இந்த பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு உடனடியாக தீர்வு காணப்பட வேண்டியது அவசியமாகும்.

1. ஃபேட்டி லிவர் - ஈரல் கொழுப்பு

2. லிவர் ஹெபடைட்டிஸ் - ஈரல் வீக்கம்

3. லிவர் சிரோசிஸ் - ஈரல் சுருங்குதல்

4. லிவர் ஃபெயிலியர் - ஈரல் செயலிழத்தல்

ஃபேட்டி லிவர் - ஈரல் கொழுப்பு

கல்லீரல் கொழுப்பு நோய், இரண்டு வகைகளாக பிரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒன்று ஆல்கஹால் சார்ந்த கொழுப்பு கல்லீரல் நோய், இரண்டாவது ஆல்கஹால் அல்லாத கொழுப்பு கல்லீரல் நோய்.

ஆல்கஹால் சார்ந்த கொழுப்பு கல்லீரல் நோயை பொறுத்தவரையில், இது அதிகப்படியான மது அருந்துவதால் ஏற்படும். கல்லீரலின் வேலையே உடலுக்குள் வரும் தேவையில்லாத நச்சை வெளியேற்றுவதுதான். மது என்பது உடலுக்கு ஒரு துளி கூட தேவையில்லாததது. மது மெல்ல கொல்லும் விஷம். எனவேதான் மதுவை நாம் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும்போது கல்லீரல் அதிகமாக வேலை செய்கிறது. மதுவை சிதைத்து அதை வெளியேற்ற முயற்சி செய்கிறது. இந்த முயற்சியின் போது நச்சு பொருட்கள் உருவாகி கல்லீரல் செல்களை சேதப்படுத்துகின்றன. இந்த சேதம் காரணமாக கல்லீரலில் கொழுப்பு படிந்து அது வீங்கி விடுகிறது. இந்த நிலை நீடித்தால் அது ஆல்கஹாலிக் ஹெபடைடிஸ் உருவாக வழி வகுத்து விடும்.

ஈரல் கொழுப்பின் இரண்டவது வகை

மது அருந்தாதவர்களுக்கும் கல்லீரலில் கொழுப்பு சேர்வதைத்தான், ஆல்கஹால் அல்லாத கொழுப்பு கல்லீரல் நோய் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. இதற்கான சரியான காரணம் இதுதான் என்று இப்போது வரை முழுமையாக கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியவில்லை. ஆனால் வாழ்க்கை முறை மற்றும் உடல்நல பிரச்சினைகள் இதற்கு முக்கியமான காரணமாக இருக்கலாம் என்று கருதப்படுகிறது. குறிப்பாக அதிகப்படியான உடல் எடை, வயிற்றுப் பகுதியில் அதிக கொழுப்பு சேர்ந்திருப்பது, இரண்டாம் வகை சர்க்கரை நோய், அதிக கொலஸ்ட்ரால் இருப்பது, முறையற்ற உணவு முறை, சர்க்கரை மற்றும் பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உணவுகளை அதிகம் எடுத்துக் கொள்வது, உயர் ரத்த அழுத்தம் இருப்பது இவற்றால் இந்த கல்லீரல் நோய் ஏற்பட வாய்ப்பு இருப்பதாக கண்டறியப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

 நாட்டு மருந்து கல்லீரல் நோயை குணப்படுத்துமா?

மேற்குறிப்பிட்ட இரண்டு வகைகளும், நோய்களின் தொடக்கத்தில் எந்த அறிகுறியும் காட்டாது ஆனால் நோய் முற்றிய நிலையில் சோர்வு, பலவீனம், வயிற்று மேல் பகுதியில் வலி அல்லது அசௌகரியம் போன்றவை ஏற்படலாம். இதுவே சில சமயங்களில் மஞ்சள் காமாலை, வயிற்றில் நீர் கோர்த்தல் போன்ற அறிகுறிகளாகவும் தென்படலாம்.

இந்த பாதிப்பு இருப்பது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டவுடன், உடனடியாக மருத்துவரிடம் சிகிச்சைக்கு செல்வது மிக முக்கியம். ஆனால் பலரும் சிகிச்சையை பாதியிலேயே கைவிட்டு விட்டு நாட்டு மருந்துகளையும், சுய மருத்துவத்தையும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார்கள். உதாரணமாக மஞ்சள், பால் நெருஞ்சில், ஆப்பிள் சைடர் வினிகர், நெல்லிச் சாறு இதையெல்லாம் எடுத்துக் கொள்வதன் மூலம் கல்லீரல் கொழுப்பை கரைக்க முடியும் என்று நம்புகிறார்கள். ஆனால் கல்லீரல் கொழுப்பை முற்றிலுமாக சரி செய்ய இதெல்லாம் போதுமானது என அறிவியல் பூர்வமாக இதுவரை நிரூபிக்கப்படவில்லை. எனவே கல்லீரல் விஷயத்தில் சுய மருத்துவமும், முழுமையான நாட்டு மருத்துவமும் ஆபத்தானதாகும்.

லிவர் ஹெபடைடிஸை புரிந்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்

கல்லீரல் நோய்களில் இரண்டாவது இடத்தில் இருப்பது லிவர் ஹெபடைடிஸ். இது வைரஸ் தொற்று காரணமாக ஏற்படுவதற்கு வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறது. ஹெபடைடிஸ் ஏ மற்றும் இ வைரஸ் பாதிப்புகளை கொண்ட ஒருவரின் ரத்தம் இன்னொருத்தருக்கு ஏற்றப்படும் பொழுது இந்த பாதிப்பு பரவலாம். அதாவது ஒரு மேன்ஷனில் ஒரே சவரக்கத்தியை பலர் பயன்படுத்தும் போது இந்த நோய் பரவுவதற்கு வாய்ப்புகள் அதிகம். அதேபோல அதிகப்படியான மது அருந்துதலும் இந்த நோய் வருவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது.

இது தவிர மருந்துகளின் பக்க விளைவுகள் மூலமாக கூட இந்த பாதிப்புகள் ஏற்படலாம். மருத்துவர் பரிந்துரைக்காத மருந்துகளை சுயமாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வதன் மூலம் கல்லீரலுக்கு நச்சு அதிகளவு சேர்ந்து ஹெபடைடிஸ் ஏற்படுகிறது. கல்லீரல் எப்படைட்டீஸ் என்பது கல்லீரல் நோய்களின் இரண்டாவது கட்டமாகும்.

லிவர் ஹெபடைடிஸுக்கு நாட்டு மருந்து கேட்குமா?

இந்த இரண்டாவது வகையில், முதலில் சொன்னது போலவே தொடக்கத்தில் மருத்துவர் கொடுக்கும் மருந்துகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு கொஞ்ச நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு கீழாநெல்லி, கரிசலாங்கண்ணி ஆகியவற்றை எடுத்துக் கொள்வது மூலம் நோய் சரியாகும் என்று நம்புவது உயிரிழப்புக்கு வழிவகுக்கும். ஏனெனில் கீழாநெல்லியும், கரிசலாங்கண்ணியும் லிவர் ஹெபடைடிஸ் நோயை முழுமையாக குணப்படுத்தும் என்று அறிவியல் ரீதியாக நிரூபிக்கப்படவில்லை. அல்லது போதுமான சான்றுகள் இல்லை.

குறிப்பாக ஹெபடைடிஸ் பாதிப்பு, வைரசால் ஏற்படும் பொழுது அதற்கு சிகிச்சைகள் தனித்தனியாக உள்ளன. ஒவ்வொரு வைரஸ் பாதிப்புக்கும் சிகிச்சை வெவ்வேறானவை. எனவே சரியான நோய் அறிதல் இல்லாமல் சுயமாக மருந்துகளை எடுத்துக் கொள்வது உயிரிழப்புகளைதான் ஏற்படுத்தும் என்று மருத்துவர்கள் எச்சரிக்கின்றார்.

கல்லீரல் நோய்களில் மூன்றாவது வகை தான் லிவர் சிரோசிஸ்

கல்லீரல் கடுமையாக மற்றும் நிரந்தரமான சேதம் அடைந்த ஒரு நிலையைதான் இவ்வாறு குறிப்பிடுகிறார்கள். இந்த நோயை குணப்படுத்த எந்த ஒரு நாட்டு மருந்தும் கிடையாது. சிரோசிஸ் என்பது கல்லீரல் திசுக்கள், வடு திசுக்களாக மாறிய நிலையாகும். இந்த வடு திசுக்கள் கல்லீரலின் செயல்பாடுகளைத் தடுத்து அது பழைய மாதிரி செயல்படாதவாறு நிரந்தரமான சேதத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. சில நாட்டு மருந்துகள் கல்லீரலின் ஆரோக்கியத்தை மேம்படுத்த உதவலாம். கவனமாக படியுங்கள் உதவ மட்டும்தான் செய்யலாம். முற்றிலும் குணப்படுத்தாது. ஆனால் அவை எல்லாம் மேலே சொன்ன இரண்டு நிலைக்குதான். இந்த மூன்றாவது நிலையில் நாட்டு மருந்துகளை நம்பக்கூடாது.

ஏனெனில் கல்லீரல் செயலிழப்பு புற்றுநோய்க்கு வழி வகுக்கும் உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தான நிலையாகும். எவ்வளவு சீக்கிரமாக மருத்துவமனையை அணுகி முறையான சிகிச்சை பெற முடியுமோ அதை அவ்வளவு சீக்கிரமாக செய்ய வேண்டும். ஆனால் நாட்டு மருந்தை நம்புவது என்பது இந்த பிரச்சனையை பொறுத்தவரையில் பொன்னான நேரத்தை வீணடிப்பது போன்றதாகும்.

நாட்டு மருந்து தீர்வு கிடையாது

லிவர் ஃபெயிலியர் என்பது கல்லீரல் நோயின் நான்காவது மற்றும் இறுதி நிலையாகும். இந்த பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டால் உயிரிழப்பு நிச்சயம். இந்த பாதிப்பை நாட்டு மருந்துகள் மட்டுமல்லாது ஆங்கில மருந்தால் கூட சரி செய்ய முடியாது. இதற்கு ஒரே ஒரு வாய்ப்பு கல்லீரல் மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை மட்டுமே. இந்த அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்வதன் மூலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை உயிர் பிழைக்க வைக்க முடியும்.

லிவர் பெயிலியர் ஆன ஒருவருக்கு நாட்டு மருந்துகள் கொடுப்பதன் மூலம் உடலில் நச்சுக்கள் அதிகமாக சேர வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறது. இதனால் ரத்தப்போக்கு சிறுநீரக செயலிழப்பு போன்ற அவசர நிலைகளும் ஏற்படும். எனவே இந்த பிரச்சனைக்கு கல்லீரல் மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை எவ்வளவு விரைவாக செய்ய முடியுமோ அவ்வளவு விரைவாக செய்வது மட்டுமே தீர்வாகும்.

Luke 2:1–20 & Matthew 1:18–25

Christmas is full of paradoxes, things that appear contradictory, yet hold deeper truth. In the birth of Christ, heaven and earth meet, eternity enters time, and the infinite God becomes an infant. Let us reflect on six Paradoxes of Christmas that reveal its true meaning.

1. Humanity and Divinity

Jesus was born as a baby (humanity) yet worshiped as Lord (divinity). In John 1:14 we can see “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Christmas reminds us that God is not distant; He stepped into our humanity to redeem us. 

2. Continuity and Discontinuity

Joseph = Continuity. His genealogy links Jesus to David’s line, confirming God’s faithfulness and covenant promises. Mary = Discontinuity. Her virgin birth shows salvation is not by human effort, but by divine grace. Christmas shows both God’s promise-keeping (continuity) and God’s new work of salvation beyond human effort (discontinuity).

3. Historicity and Eternity

Jesus was born at a specific time in Bethlehem (historicity). Yet He is the eternal Son, existing before all ages (eternity). In Micah 5:2 we can find “His goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” Therefore, Christmas calls us to see history as God’s stage for eternity’s plan.

4. Universality and Particularity

The angels proclaimed: “Good news of great joy for all people” (universality). Yet the message came first to shepherds in one location, and salvation is found only in Christ (particularity). Christmas invites everyone, but requires a personal response to the particular Savior, Jesus Christ.

5. Preparedness and Unpreparedness

The world was largely unprepared. Especially, no room in the inn and no welcome for the King. Yet God had fully prepared. Prophets foretold, angels announced and wise men journeyed. Many today celebrate Christmas without preparing their hearts. Are we prepared to welcome Christ personally?

6. Greatness and Smallness

The Creator of the universe lay in a feeding trough. The One who holds all things together was held in Mary’s arms.I would like to quote Charles Spurgeon, “We tremble to approach a throne, but we cannot fear to approach a manger.” God’s greatness is revealed through humility. Christmas calls us to value small beginnings where God’s greatness shines.

The Paradox of Christmas is that the Almighty became a baby, the Eternal stepped into time, the Savior was born in simplicity.

This Christmas, let us not stumble at the paradox, but marvel at the mystery that he is Immanuel (God with us).

Christmas has always been a season of wonder with lights, music, joy, and gifts. But the real marvel of Christmas is not in what man does, but in what God has done. The God message through angels to the shepherds reveals the Marvel of Simplicity, Universality, and Uniqueness in Christ’s birth.

1. The Marvel of Simplicity

Jesus was not born in a palace but in a manger. The shepherds poor, ordinary men — were the first to hear the good news. God chose simplicity to reveal His glory, showing that salvation is not about wealth, status, or luxury. If you want to see royalty today, you need permission, passes, and protocol. But in Bethlehem, the Savior was found wrapped in cloth, lying in a manger which is approachable to all. This Christmas, don’t look for God in extravagance. Look for Him in humility, in simple obedience, and in quiet faith.

2. The Marvel of Universality

Luke 2:10 expresses “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.” The message of Christmas is not limited to one nation, race, or class. It is for the shepherd and the scholar, for the poor and the rich, for Jew and Gentile alike. The star guided wise men from the East, while angels guided shepherds nearby. Both near and far were drawn to the Savior. Christmas breaks down barriers. In Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, rich nor poor, male nor female. The gospel is for all.

3. The Marvel of Uniqueness

Many children have been born, but none like this Child. He is fully human who is born of Mary, wrapped in cloth. And also He is fully divine which was announced by angels, called the “Savior” and “Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). His birth was unique, His life sinless, His death sacrificial, His resurrection victorious. This Christmas, don’t just admire His uniqueness but also embrace Him as your personal Savior and Lord.

The Marvel of Christmas is seen in:

1. Simplicity — God’s glory in humility.

2. Universality — God’s gift for all people.

3. Uniqueness — God’s one and only Son, our Savior.

Luke 1:38, Matthew 1:22–23 & Luke 2:1–14

Christmas is more than a festival of lights, gifts, and gatherings. It is the mystery of God becoming man. The very first Christmas was filled with wonder, not noise & with awe, not extravagance. Let us meditate on the Mystery, the Miracle, and the Meaning of Christmas.

1. The Mystery of Christmas – God’s Announcement

Luke 1:38 expresses “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” The angel Gabriel announced to Mary something beyond human logic that a virgin would conceive. Mary’s response was faith, not fear. This Christmas, God may call us into mysteries we cannot understand cause God works in Mysterious ways.

2. The Miracle of Christmas - God’s Accomplishment

Matthew 1:22–23 states that “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.” The miracle of Christmas is the Virgin Birth which is a supernatural act fulfilling ancient prophecy (Isaiah 7:14). In Jesus, divinity and humanity meet, the fully God, fully man, yet without sin. As a bridge connects two sides of a river, Christ connects Heaven and Earth.

3. The Meaning of Christmas - God’s Attraction

Luke 2:1–14 shows us that Christmas is not just about birth, but about God drawing people closer to Himself.

a) Drawing the Son of God

From the lap of His Heavenly Father to the lap of His earthly mother Mary (Luke 2:7; John 1:18).God became flesh and dwelt among us.

b) Drawing Angels

From heaven to earth to proclaim peace and good news to shepherds (Luke 2:8–9).

c) Drawing Shepherds

From the fields to the manger (Luke 2:15–16). The lowest in society became the first to see the Highest in glory.

d) Drawing Wisemen

From the Far East to Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1–12). Their geographical movement became a faith movement.

The Mystery of Christmas shows us God’s plan.

The Miracle of Christmas shows us God’s power.

The Meaning of Christmas shows us God’s purpose.

The Christmas Spirit

The true Christmas Spirit is the Holy Spirit at work in the story of Jesus’ birth. From the manger in Bethlehem to our hearts today, the Spirit of God makes Christmas real and meaningful.

1. The Spirit Conceived Christ in the Virgin’s Womb

In Luke 1:35 we can see “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” The incarnation was not man’s idea, but God’s work through the Spirit. No human effort, no human plan but only divine power could bring forth Christ. The same Spirit who conceived Christ in Mary wants to form Christ in us (Galatians 4:19). 2. The Spirit Revealed Christ to People’s Eyes

In Luke 2:25–32, Simeon, filled with the Spirit, recognized the infant Jesus as the “light for revelation to the Gentiles.” Many saw a baby, but only Spirit-filled eyes saw the Savior. The Spirit gives us perception to see Christ not just as a baby in a manger, but as King and Savior. Two people can look at the same sunrise, one sees only light, the other sees glory. The difference is perception.

3. The Spirit Brings Christ into the Sinner’s Heart

 John the Baptist filled with the Spirit before birth (Luke 1:15). Elizabeth filled with the Spirit and recognized the Lord (Luke 1:41). Zechariah filled with the Spirit and prophesied salvation (Luke 1:67). The Spirit doesn’t just reveal Christ externally, He brings Christ internally. True Christmas is not celebrated in the marketplace, but in the heart that receives Jesus.

The Christmas Spirit is the Holy Spirit, who:

1. Conceived Christ in the womb of Mary,

2. Revealed Christ to the eyes of Simeon,

3. Plants Christ in the hearts of all who believe.

The Holy Spirit is still at work today asking: Will you let Christ be conceived, revealed, and received in your life this Christmas?

Christmas is not just a date on the calendar, but the turning point in history. The birth of Jesus is unique that no other birth has divided history into B.C. and A.D.. In Luke 2, the angels announce to shepherds a message filled with mystery, majesty, and meaning. Let us reflect on the Significance of Christmas through three truths.

1. An Unprecedented Birth (Luke 1:35)

Jesus’ birth was unlike any other — conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. No founder of any religion was born this way. His birth broke all natural laws. Many kings are born in palaces. Jesus, the King of kings, was born in poverty to show that His kingdom is not of this world. The unprecedented birth shows that our salvation is not man’s idea, but God’s initiative.

2. An Unexpected Surprise (Luke 2:8–9)

The first announcement did not come to kings or priests, but to shepherds, poor, unclean, marginalized people. God bypassed the high and mighty to reveal His glory to the humble. A royal birth today would make headlines in newspapers and television. But God’s headline of salvation was written in the sky and sung by angels to shepherds in the fields. Christmas reminds us that no one is too lowly, too sinful, or too forgotten for God’s love. Christ came for you.

3. An Unusual Sign (Luke 2:12)

The shepherds were told: “You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” Not a crown, but cloth. Not a palace, but a manger. Charles Spurgeon said: “We tremble to approach a throne; but we cannot fear to approach a manger.” He was born in a manger, approachable by shepherds. He died on a cross, approachable for sinners. From manger to cross, His life says: “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden." Anyone can approach Him freely — no barriers, no protocols. Christmas means the Savior is near and accessible.

The significance of Christmas is clear:

1. An Unprecedented Birth — God’s Son came supernaturally.

2. An Unexpected Surprise — God revealed Himself to the humble.

3. An Unusual Sign — God made Himself approachable to all.

This Christmas, let us not just hear the story, but enter it by approaching the manger, bowing at the cross, and rejoicing in the risen Savior.
