John Newton was a militant atheist, bully and blasphemer. He was selected to Navy at 18 where he broke the rules so recklessly that he was publicly flogged. At the age of 23, Newton’s ship almost sank in a severe storm off the coast of Donegal. He called out to God from that sinking ship on 10/3/1748, God rescued him. He began a new life. He started praying to God. Eventually he joined William Wilberforce in the campaign against slave trade and became a leader.He wrote the song "Amazing grace! How sweet the sound;That saved a wretch like me!" *Yes.God can transform people and their plans!! Let's commit to God!*
