Introduction
Christmas is one of the delightful day. This is the day of joy, day of celebration, day of thanksgiving but today we are going to see that differently which we are going to focus on the verse given below “ Glory to god in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors! “ Luke 2 : 14.
1.      The anticlimactic condition
2.      The accepted sacrifice
3.      The anticipative sacrifice
The anticlimactic condition
God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good (Gen 1:31) but later satan made the way of disobedient and the result was punishment by god. So man was mislead into another way from god. As the result he started to worship other god than Yahweh. So to change man towards god sent his prophets and messages to turn toward him. They started to give warnings and teachings to them but people didn’t repent. So people started to go and fix with their older sins which led them into very dangerous path.  They thought and did the opposite of which god thought. So this created a anticlimactic condition of that situation.
The accepted sacrifice
Mankind was leading a disastrous life and it creates sadness to god. So this decides to send his one and only son to this earth to change this anticlimactic situation.  “for god so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” john 3 :16.
Let us just think about this will any person from higher authority will come down? Can a prime minister of a country come down and work as a electrician ? but here the great god coming here down  as a simple man.  “though he was in the form of god, did not regard equality with god as something to be exploited” phil 2:6. This was the greatest sacrifice which we can see in bible. so this can be said as the accepted sacrifice.
Yes Christmas is emerged out of many sacrifice and that too accepted sacrifices, that should be registered in our mind.
The anticipative outcome
There is particular aim for Christ birth. Out of all this sacrifices jesus has been born and we can clearly see the aim behind this.  He came to this earth so give peace. Is this world is filled with peace today? Is the things happening in Israel and palastine is peace ? we are celebrating christmas today do we have peace in our mind and family?
Jesus came to lift the people from the dark, to lead people in good path.  In matthew 1:21, she(mary) will bear a son, and you are to name him jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Yes jesus came to save you and me. That is the ultimate aim for him to born in this earth as a human.
Does the ultimate aim of jesus has been fulfilled in our life today? Is we people who walk in light ?  can we say that we are redeemed and leading a god loving life ?
Conclusion
When there is peace in our life then only we can celebrate a peaceful Christmas. Then only the unltimate aim of chirstmas will be fulfilled.  That is the day which jesus Christ being born in this world and that is real Christmas.
